What a special start to the morning! Thank you Portage County Business Council, Inc. for welcoming us to the Plover community during our official ribbon cutting!

What a special night! In addition to our donors and friends, we were honored to have Governor Tony Evers as well as other local and state leaders in attendance for our ceremonial grand opening.

We were honored to give a sneak peek of the Food + Farm Exploration Center to our partners and contractors that helped make this possible.

Bobbi Kubish has joined the Food + Farm Exploration Center team as the Director of Educational Programming. Kubish’s role will be to guide and support the F+FEC’s excellent educational team with their programming development and outreach efforts.

Taylor Pliska has joined the Food + Farm Exploration Center team as the Guest Services & Front Desk Coordinator. Pliska will be working to create a memorable experience when community members enter the F+FEC.

She looks forward to building a successful team that will accomplish daily needs within the front office area. Also, building relationships with the staff and exploration goers as we get underway here.

Grace Harbridge has joined the Food + Farm Exploration Center team as the Colorful Plate Café Manager. She joins the team with experience as the Chef at Masgay restaurants managing the kitchens at Mikey’s in Plover and Tine & Cellar in Weston.

Harbridge’s role will be to serve customers locally sourced, healthy food. The café will also feature craft espresso drinks, using and promoting local coffee roasteries. She is excited “to focus on farm to table food and craft coffee.”

Mike Bicanic has joined the Food + Farm Exploration Center team as the Grounds and Maintenance Manager. Bicanic will manage the maintenance of the entire facility and the teaching fields outside.

He is excited to be involved in a movement to bring people back to the earth and teach all people how we can feed the world.

Nevada Pazdra joins the Food + Farm Exploration Center team as the Visitor Experience & Events Manager.

Pazdra will coordinate facility rentals and events, volunteers, and membership efforts. In addition, she will assess, build, and lead the overall quality of the visitor experience of the Food + Farm Exploration Center.

It is happening! The first exhibits have arrived at the Food + Farm Exploration Center.

Heath Dornfeld has been hired by the Food + Farm Exploration Center as the Operations and Exhibits Director.

He looks forward to “getting to know the people and community that has come together to build the AMAZING Food + Farm Exploration Center and the challenge of building a team and processes from scratch.”

Alex Skawinski is the newly hired Executive Office Manager for the Food + Farm Exploration Center.

She is eager “to join the Food + Farm Exploration Center’s team of professionals, working on behalf of agricultural education and community development.”

We have moved in!
