Ag STEM Gallery
Explore the science, technology, engineering, and math behind modern agriculture.
The Ag STEM Gallery invites learners of all ages to explore how food moves from field to fork through interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences. Discover the people, processes, and technology that power agriculture on farms today and see all it takes for food to go from field to fork.
Interactive elements include immersive simulations, real-world equipment, and engaging activities. Look forward to digging into an interactive sandbox, testing your harvesting skills, finding your favorite crops in Wisconsin, meeting some of our partners in Wisconsin agriculture, and so much more. Seedlings Gallery
Playful exploration for our youngest learners—and the grown-ups who love learning alongside them.
Designed with early learners in mind, this space encourages imagination, sensory exploration, and creative play through food and agriculture themes. Visitors can role-play, build, explore, and discover how food moves from farm to table through hands-on activities.
Open-ended play includes a fully stocked play kitchen, a mini grocery store, and a food truck where kids can design the perfect menu and serve their customers. These activities are just a sampling—young explorers will find even more ways to play, imagine, and discover throughout the space.
Greenhouse
Discover how plants grow from seed to harvest.
Step into the greenhouse to explore plant life cycles, growing systems, and sustainable practices used in food production. This living learning space features rotating drop-in activities, guided tours, and special programs throughout the year.

Kitchen Lab
Where agricultural science meets culinary creativity.
Experience a fully equipped teaching kitchen designed to support hands-on learning and culinary skill-building. Modeled after a home kitchen, the space creates an approachable environment for exploring the connections between food, farming, nutrition, and flavor.
Programs range from youth to adult and from beginner to advanced, offering meaningful learning experiences led by knowledgeable instructors. Some experiences are included with admission, while others require advance registration. Check the Calendar of Events to see what’s cooking during your visit.
Ag Lab Makerspace
Create, experiment, and problem-solve with agriculture as your inspiration.
This hands-on classroom environment encourages creativity and innovation using both traditional tools and high-tech equipment. Activities change monthly, so there’s always something new to explore.

Farm Tech Shed
Meet the machines that help feed the nation.
Get up close with awe-inspiring agricultural equipment showcasing the latest in technology and innovation. Explore the inner workings of modern machinery, climb into the driver’s seat, and take in a bird’s-eye view from the mezzanine.

Farm Demonstration Fields
See agriculture in action—right where it happens.
Our Farm Demonstration Fields include four one-acre plots that extend learning beyond the walls of the exploration center. Each field features its own crop rotation and is supported by a center pivot irrigation system, offering a real-world look at how crops are grown.
Produce from the fields is harvested during our free, community U-Pick Harvest Day events. Seasonal tours and special programs offer additional opportunities to dig deeper—check the Calendar of Events before your visit.
World’s Largest Potato Masher
An iconic welcome and a celebration of Wisconsin agriculture.
At 38’11” tall and weighing 7,500 pounds, the World’s Largest Potato Masher is a one-of-a-kind welcoming landmark. This larger-than-life attraction honors the growers, innovators, and consumers who power the agriculture and food system in a fun and unforgettable way.
