Education Programs

Education is at the heart of Food + Farm Exploration Center’s mission—to connect people of all ages to where food comes from and why it matters.

Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences, we offer on-site field trips, community outreach, educational resources, and youth programs that support educators, families, and learners across our region.

Learning Through Food, Farming, and Discovery

Our education programs are rooted in real-world experiences that bring food systems, agriculture, and sustainability to life. We believe learning happens best when students can explore, ask questions, and engage directly with the world around them. We're all about cultivating knowledge by providing a valuable and unique educational experience.

Programs are designed to support a wide range of learners, including traditional classrooms, homeschool families, alternative education models, and community groups.

On-Site Field Trips

Bring learning to life with hands-on field trips at Food + Farm Exploration Center. Our on-site programs are available for learners of all ages and are designed for public schools, private schools, homeschool groups, and alternative education settings.

Field trips connect classroom learning to real-world food and agriculture topics through interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and guided experiences.

Education Outreach

Our team expands beyond the walls of our center too. Through outreach programs, we work with schools, libraries, and community organizations to deliver engaging educational experiences throughout the community.

Outreach programs are ideal for groups that are unable to travel to the center or are looking for flexible, on-site educational support that is the perfect complement before or after a field trip.

Educational Resources

We offer a growing collection of educational resources designed to support learning both at home and in the classroom. Resources include online materials, hands-on activities, books, and kits that can be borrowed from the center.

These resources are available to educators, families, homeschool groups, and anyone interested in learning more about food and agriculture.

Girl Scouts Programs

Food + Farm Exploration Center proudly partners with Girl Scouts to offer badge-aligned programs that combine hands-on learning with food, farming, and environmental exploration.

Programs support Girl Scouts at multiple levels and provide meaningful, memorable learning experiences.
