Farming is Community

"Farmers understand the value of cooperation; together they cultivate fields of possibility, nourishing not just the land, but the bonds that sustain communities." - Tamas Houlihan, Executive Director of the WPVGA

Wisconsin is home to over 60,000 farms with nearly all of them (90%) being family owned. Farmers and growers depend on their community to continue the success of the industry. They share their research findings and knowledge with everyone for the betterment of the crop, not themselves. Partnerships are created to turn innovative projects into a reality. Land is even shared to ensure longevity of the soil for generations to come.

The Food + Farm Exploration Center is the physical manifestation of that community mindset. It serves as a place for people to come together. You will find multiple tractors brands, different irrigation companies, and families of growers coming together to share their stories. We want to create common ground where people can learn how their food is grown from the farmers growing it.
