Meet the Team: Heath Dornfeld
Heath Dornfeld has been hired by the Food + Farm Exploration Center as the Operations and Exhibits Director.
Dornfeld’s role is to oversee the daily operations of the Food + Farm Exploration Center with a primary focus around the functionality of the premises. His responsibilities also include managing the exhibits, maintenance shed, and demonstration fields.
He looks forward to “getting to know the people and community that has come together to build the AMAZING Food + Farm Exploration Center and the challenge of building a team and processes from scratch.”
Dornfeld earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Wildlife Ecology and Management from UW-Stevens Point.
With thirteen years of food processing experience at Mariani Packing Company, Dornfeld has experience leading dozens of capital projects and one of the largest expansions in the company's history.
In his free time, Heath seeks the quiet of hunting or fishing. He’s taken multiple hunting trips out west in pursuit of antelope, elk and mule deer. When at home his hobbies include woodworking, gardening and reading. Heath enjoys canning harvest produce from the garden with his wife and watching their children grow.
