Meet Soil Conservationist Derek Husmoen.
“I have always been interested in soil and water conservation from a young age,” he said. “I guess in high school, I knew I wanted to stay in the agriculture field, and I have always liked soil and water conservation, so I just kind of stuck with it. That’s how I got into it.”

Meet our team! Tamas Houlihan is the executive director of the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, father of seven and lifelong resident of Central Wisconsin. He became involved in Farming for the Future Foundation in order to share the agriculture industry and farm experience with more people.

Get to know our team! Amanda Gevens is a plant pathologist and has been a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin— Madison for 12 years. She is currently serving as the department chair of plant pathology in the UW College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
