Celebrate International Women's Day with FFTFF
On this International Women’s Day, March 8, we celebrate women who have impacted the agriculture field. Ag means many things, and we’re excited to highlight women in our community who have played a variety of roles in production agriculture. From farmworkers, managers and operators to teachers, policymakers, engineers and scientists, women have been a vital part of sustainable, valuable food production.
Women account for 26 percent of all ag occupations according to the most recent study by USDA Economic Research Services on Demographic Characteristics of Hired Farmworkers and All Wage and Salary Workers. There’s room for women to grow in ag-related fields, and we’re excited to welcome more female leaders!
