Two weeks of fun in March

Enjoy these amazing programs to keep kids learning over the school break.

Join us for smoothies, watercolors, exploring wind and making games!

Our team of educators has developed four exciting options that will help guests reconnect with how food is grown with engaging activities. You’re invited to join us for some fun here in Central Wisconsin. Visit March 18th through the 27th to enjoy these special activities.

Veggie-licious smoothies

Turn up the BEET. These smoothies are sure to PEAS! You’ll be transported to a tropical oasis creating these delicious smoothies. Make four smoothies, each featuring a different Wisconsin agricultural crop, carrots, beets, peas, and cucumbers.

  • When: March 18th and March 25th from 9:30-11:30 AM (Tuesdays)

  • Who: 3rd grade and up

  • Cost: $30. Includes one child participant and adult guardian (Members save 25%)

Budding Artists

Find beauty in the blooms of our Wisconsin focus crops! Create a watercolor canvas of their beautiful blooms and you’ll be ready to spot spring coming. Learn the techniques of watercolor drawing using pencils and cakes to construct a work of art. Registration includes one 11x14 canvas, a set of watercolor pencils, and a step-by-step painting tutorial.

  • When: March 19th and March 26th from 9:30-11:30 AM (Wednesdays)

  • Who: 5th grade and up

  • Cost: $40. Includes one child participant and adult guardian (Members save 25%)

Easy Breezy Seeds

Play with the power of wind! Participants will be challenged to move everyday objects using only wind power. Explore how seeds different characteristics allow for transportation and dispersal. Make seed paper to take home and plant to enjoy some spring green!

  • When: March 20th and March 27th from 9:30-11:30 AM (Thursdays)

  • Who: 3rd grade and up

  • Cost: $30. Includes one child participant and adult guardian (Members save 25%)

Tic Tac Toe Boards

Pasture Chic Design is hosting a paint your own tic tac toe board class. Choose between tractors or flowers and bees and enjoy this classic game at home or on the go! Bring your family and friends and let’s get creative together.

Hours

We open our normal hours for spring break. Please add Colorful Plate Café to your “must visit list” for something delicious and locally sourced for breakfast or lunch! Some helpful tips:

  • We’re closed on Mondays

  • We’re open late on Thursdays until 7pm

  • Please be sure you purchase tickets in advance for special spring break programs or general admission

  • Colorful Plate Café hours are different from the exploration center. See their menu and hours. No ticket required to visit the café!
