Educational Program Facilitator (Full-Time)
Organization Overview
Food + Farm Exploration Center (F+FEC), in partnership with Farming for the Future Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating current and future generations about agricultural innovation and sustainability. Located in Plover, Wisconsin, F+FEC aims to deepen the understanding of modern agriculture, promote agricultural literacy, and foster connections between farmers and consumers. By creating a space for learning and engagement, F+FEC provides an opportunity for people to explore the world of agriculture and better understand the origins of their food.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic educational program facilitator to join our team. This critically important position assists with the development and implementation of educational programs and materials. They will report directly to the Education and Programming Manager.
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and lead educational program curriculum, lessons, and materials based on STEM and production agricultural initiatives for:
PreK-12 grade, homeschool, and youth group field trips and summer camps
Makerspace and exhibits, kitchen lab, greenhouse, farm tech shed, and outdoor spaces
Tot Time and Storytime Programs
Other programming areas as needed
Deliver community outreach programs to off-site school-aged children and families, as needed.
An ability to motivate audiences of all ages and understand cultural sensitivity.
An understanding of and desire to pursue modern agriculture subject matter through professional development opportunities and their own initiative.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred, with emphasis on early childhood or elementary education.
Experience with curriculum design, assessment methods, and technology tools for teaching.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Maker Space programming preferred.
Strong understanding of STEM programming initiatives recommended.
Self-starter with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
Proven experience with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Aptitude to work in a cross-functional, organization.
Experience with non-profit and/or educational organizations is a benefit.

Self-motivated and independent but able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Recognizes personal limitations and knowledge gaps and communicates them.
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed.
Physical Demands
Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Physical requirements include but are not limited to stooping, kneeling, bending, standing, squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling, pushing/pulling, climbing (ladders), reaching above the shoulders, lifting of up to 50lbs.

The annual salary range for this position starts at $45,000
Paid time off (PTO)
