This in-depth training provides information on what to expect when working on a farm, the basics of agricultural safety and agricultural hazards, among other important topics for farm work. The course is open to any youth who are:
12-16 years of age who will be operating tractors or self-propelled implements of husbandry on public roads under direction of their parent or guardian for work-related to their family farm operation; or
14-15 years of age who will be employed or working without pay on a farm other than their family farm and completes the requirements for a federal certificate of training.
This course fulfills the requirements to be certified and compliant under the Wisconsin Act 455 and U.S. Department of Labor Agriculture Hazards Occupation Order.

Educational Sessions Date & Time: July 7-11 from 8:30am-12:30pm
Written Exam on Friday July 11
Driving Exam Date & Time: July 14 from 8:30am-12:30pm
Students will be scheduled for a half-hour practicum
Cost: $50 per youth
