ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Dig into the world of agriculture with our 4-week Tot Time program! Every month, we spotlight a different Wisconsin-grown crop, allowing little learners to explore the science and stories behind our food.
Each week, families will enjoy open exploration in our Seedlings Gallery, facilitator-led activities throughout Food + Farm Exploration Center, and a delicious snack pertaining to the monthly theme. Through hands-on play and greenhouse exploration, children will experience the amazing ways food travels from the field to their fork.
THEME: PEAS
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Week 1: Make a pea life cycle on a plate, finger paint peas, craft a pea pod with your name in it, and practice your letter sounds.
Week 2: Prepare pea cookies with Chef Davey in the Kitchen Lab and visit the Greenhouse to see peas in progress.
Week 3: Count peas by shaping playdough, using tweezers, and creating an "I spy numbers" bottle.
