Introduction to Wine

Learn the basics of wine, wine tasting, wine and food pairing, and how to purchase a bottle of wine with confidence all while having fun. This intro to wine class will cover how wine is made, characteristics of red, white, and rose wines, basic wine terms, and how to taste wine. Five wines will be tasted:

  • Riesling

  • Chardonnay

  • Pinot Noir

  • Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Rose

This class is presented in partnership between Mid-State Technical College and the Food + Farm Exploration Center.
