Join us for this free, community event where we’ll learn about seeds and how the technology techniques like CRISPR gene editing and GMO’s compare to traditional seed breeding techniques for improving crops. Rex Phipps, retired Research Station Manager at Illinois Foundation Seeds with a PhD in Agronomy, will be our expert in this session: Seeds Types 101: Heirloom, Hybrid, and GMOs.

An hour to relax, network, and share ideas with local growers and producers, allied industry professionals, and friends of agriculture in the Kitchen Lab with something delicious from Colorful Plate Café.
