Dig into the world of agriculture with our 4-week Tot Time program! Every month, we spotlight a different Wisconsin-grown crop, allowing little learners to explore the science and stories behind our food.
Each week, families will enjoy open exploration in our Seedlings Gallery, facilitator-led activities throughout Food + Farm Exploration Center, and a delicious snack pertaining to the monthly theme. Through hands-on play and greenhouse exploration, children will experience the amazing ways food travels from the field to their fork.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Week 1: Peas in a Pod. Explore different types of peas (Snap, Snow, and Garden!) and create a "Two Peas in a Pod" puppet to help us read our favorite spring stories.
Week 2: Greenhouse Gardeners. Head to the Greenhouse to plant your very own "Tea-Pea" (pea seeds in a cup with a straw trellis) and see how vines love to climb!
Week 3: Kitchen Lab Chemists. Mash, smash, and taste! We’ll head to the Kitchen Lab to make "Pea-Mous" (pea hummus) and practice our fine motor skills by shelling fresh garden peas.
Week 4: Sweet Pea Celebration. A "hap-pea" finale! We’ll create pea-pod prints with paint, play a pea-sorting game, and see how many "peas tall" we’ve grown this month.
