Join us at Food + Farm Exploration Center for Safety Day 2026—a fun, interactive, family-focused day dedicated to keeping our rural and agricultural communities safe, healthy, and informed!

Partnering with local safety leaders and featuring curriculum from the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program—North America's largest rural safety and health education program—this event delivers practical, life-saving knowledge through engaging, hands-on activities tailored for kids and adults alike.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Interactive Safety & Health Booths

Explore age-appropriate, hands-on learning stations hosted by community partners and trained staff, covering critical daily safety topics:

  • Equipment & Vehicle Safety: Learn smart practices around UTVs, ATVs, tractors, and heavy machinery.

  • Electrical Safety: Interactive demonstrations on staying safe around power lines, electrical equipment, and farm infrastructure.

  • Food Safety: Simple, practical tips on proper food handling, kitchen safety, and farm-to-table cleanliness.

  • Mental Health & Wellness: Age-tailored resources and positive strategies for stress management, wellness, and community support.

Hands-On Kids’ Activities & Exploration

  • Participate in fun, safety-themed activities, games, and takeaway crafts designed for young learners.

Our educational activities utilize curriculum from the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day® program provided by the Progressive Ag Safety Foundation (PAF). Recognized as a leader in rural safety, Progressive Ag provides proven, age-appropriate lessons that empower children with the knowledge and confidence to recognize hazards, prevent accidents, and keep themselves, their families, and their friends safe on the farm and at home.
