A Refreshing Tribute to Wisconsin Agriculture
Did you know that Wisconsin has been growing mint commercially since 1943? To celebrate our status as 5th in the nation for peppermint and spearmint oil production, we’re turning June into "Mint Month" at Food + Farm Exploration Center.
We’ve invited the award-winning King Cone ice cream trailer to help us celebrate with a menu dedicated to the refreshing flavor of Wisconsin-grown mint. Whether you're a fan of the classic "cool" sensation—which actually comes from a compound called menthol that tricks your mouth's cold sensors—or you prefer a standard favorite, this is the perfect way to spend a summer morning.
