Discover how science, technology, engineering, and math come to life through agriculture. In this hands-on experience for Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes, participants rotate through interactive stations exploring real-world STEM careers—from food science to engineering—while earning the STEM Career Exploration Badge.
Food Science Experiment | Put on a lab coat and step into the role of a food scientist. Through a fun baking experiment, participants explore the science behind ingredients and learn how food scientists develop safe, nutritious, and delicious foods.
Engineering Challenge | Design and build a model corn cultivator while exploring careers in engineering and skilled trades. This station encourages teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on construction.
Women in Agriculture Career Fair | Meet inspiring women working across agriculture — from research and technology to business and environmental stewardship. Participants will ask questions, explore career pathways, and discover how STEM interests can shape the future of farming.
By the end of the day, participants earn the STEM Career Exploration Badge and gain a deeper understanding of how STEM drives modern agriculture.
